Here are more latest photos of Filinvest’s One Oasis Cagayan de Oro now on full blast construction.
Clearly shown is the mat foundation of the first mid-rise building being prepared for the concrete pouring.
The elevator shaft is shown at right.

When completed, the condominium complex will have three 8-storey buildings and two 7-storey buildings.
Here’s a good vantage picture of Centrio Tower now rising steadily along Corrales Avenue in Cagayan de Oro City.
From this angle, you can see that construction is progressing from the right (along the road) to the left with work now on the 5th level. At this rate, it could replace Limketkai Luxe Hotel as the tallest building in the city by September 2015.

Bored piling works are now underway at the site of the 28-storey 1st tower of Avida Towers Aspira located along Ramon Chaves Street in Cagayan de Oro City.
Shown above is the official status update (as of October 2014) posted at its website HERE. Photos below taken last week showed the circular steel casings seen onsite and ready to be driven into the ground. These piles form the main structural system for the foundation.
Below is a closer shot. Note markings in the background which will serve as guide to the pile driving works.
It’s basically the same method used by Centrio Tower (shown below).
From the outside, you can see the cranes and other heavy equipment.
Once completed, Aspira Tower 1 will be the tallest building in the city surpassing the 23-storey Centrio Tower. If materialized, Tower 2 is even taller at 32 floors.
Construction of Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corporation’s P3.8-billion import terminal in Cagayan de Oro is on target for a late 2015 opening. The said facility can serve the huge Mindanao market and the requirements of Visayas as well.

Work on the eastern approach of the JR Borja Bridge project is now ongoing after the demolition of the house which obstructed the path of the bridge.
Photos below taken along JR Borja Street descending towards Burgos Street.
Accordingly, workers onsite said they are targeting to complete the bridge before the holidays.
DDT Konstract, Inc., the main building contractor for SM CDO2 Premier is now hiring for several positions specifically for the construction of SM’s second mall in Cagayan de Oro City.

Vista Residences early today held its ceremonial excavation signalling the start of construction of The Loop’s North Tower, a 25-storey high-rise condominium project, its first high rise residential project outside Metro Manila.
Located at Limketkai Center in Cagayan de Oro City, investors, sales agents and brokers jointly attended the event held at the project site. The ceremonial excavation was done with one back hoe as well as other marketing agents doing the shovel back filling. The real excavation works will commence in a few days as heavy equipment and construction materials will start arriving at the site.

More than a month ago in his visit to Cagayan de Oro, former Senator Manny Villar disclosed his plans of bringing his newest housing brand Lumina Homes, Inc., to the city (Read LINK).

Completion of the JR Borja Bridge is now in sight…could the contractor finish this before Christmas?
As shown in the photos, the approach from Burgos Street has been completed and being cured with paving works ongoing for the sidewalk.
This section seemed to be the last remaining task.
The bridge is still closed to vehicular traffic but pedestrians can already cross the bridge.
You could still some riprap works on the site perhaps a drainage outlet towards the river.
This is the view when approaching Burgos Street from Carmen.
So, do you think this bridge will be passable by Christmas Day?
Gaisano Puerto is now in the final stages of construction.
As shown, polystyrene foams are now being installed on the 4-storey building’s facade. You could also see some glass installations at the ground floor. Accordingly, this commercial establishment is targeting to open this month in time for the Christmas shopping. Once opened, customers in the city eastern barangays as well as nearby towns will be its main patrons.

Construction of the new Laguindingan Airport Rotunda has showed significant progress.
As of yesterday, the eastern section of the rotunda development has taken shape already.
Concreting of sidewalks is also ongoing.
This is a triangular section of the development.

The 4-storey building will rise along CM Recto Avenue right beside China Bank. The project site is now fenced with a billboard of the perspective installed inside.

JVC is the developer of housing subdivision projects in the city such as Bellevue (Upper Carmen), Vista Grande (Lumbia), San Agustin Valley Homes (Pueblo de Oro), and Pag-ibig Citihomes and Green Meadows, both in Opol town. Shirogi Pan De Kofi is expanding more in Cagayan de Oro City with the latest branch opening soon in Kauswagan near the Kauswagan-Bonbon-Bayabas Intersection and along the 3rd Bridge (Puntod-Kauswagan) Access Road.
As shown, interior works are underway and at the rate, it could open just before Christmas. Its tasty pandesal is gaining popularity among Kagayanons.
It recently opened its Carmen Branch along Vamenta Boulevard. With the warm reception it has been getting, we expect more branches to sprout soon.
More heavy equipment and construction materials have arrived onsite for SM CDO 2 Premier.
As shown, trucks loaded with steel materials are now seen at the project site. Accordingly, more materials will be delivered in the next days after the temporary delay of shipment caused by Typhoon Ruby. It’s going to be a busy Christmas for Cagayan de Oro’s construction industry.
