Wasting no time, the City has started the redevelopment of Duaw Park.
Duaw Park is what used to be the riverside park beside the Golden Friendship Tennis Courts across City Hall. The project was supposed to be implemented under the Jaraula Administration (LINK) but unfortunately, the succeeding Emano Administration had other things in mind and discontinued the project.
Now, the Moreno Administration has revived the project and as shown in the following photos, earthworks are well underway.
The Duaw Park is supposed to be part of the Golden Mile project of former mayor Tinnex Jaraula. We still do not have renderings of the project so we really don’t know what’s the design of the new park. I guess the large reclaimed area will now become part of the park.
