Here’s a snapshot of the Department of Foreign Affairs Office at the 3rd Level of Centrio Mall in Cagayan de Oro City.
Last January, we posted about the MOA Signing between Ayala Land and the DFA for the transfer of its consular office in the city to Centrio Mall (LINK). The schedule of the transfer was set in the 2nd quarter of 2014 or April, May or June of this year.
Based on the photo above, it seems all is set for the transfer except for the DFA personnel and perhaps some office equipment needed for application/renewal of passports. There is no official announcement yet as to the exact opening date of the DFA Office at Centrio. Once opened, this will be the 11th Regional Consular Office of the DFA to be transferred to shopping malls, and 2nd in an Ayala Mall.
At DFA’s current site at Limketkai Complex, clients usually start lining up at 2:00AM to get the priority number. With the transfer at the mall, how will DFA address this early birds?
