DPWH Undersecretary Eugenio R. Pipo Jr. along with Assistant Secretary Ador G. Canlas and staff personally inspected last February 2, 2022 the ongoing construction of the Urban Drainage Project fronting Puregold along Claro M. Recto Avenue in Barangay Lapasan and the CDO Coastal Road Phase II in Barangay Gusa, Cagayan de Oro City.
In her report, DPWH Regional Director Zenaida T. Tan stated that the overall progress of the drainage projects implemented in the Bitan-ag and Kolambog Catchment is now at 37.93%, 46.99% in Sapang Catchment and 56.42% in Carmen Catchment, based on the total released funds.

The ongoing drainage project aims to divert water from Bitan-ag Creek in Limketkai Section leading to CM Recto Highway then straight to Valenzuela Road in Agora and exits the downstream portion of the creek.

The group also also checked the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road Project Phase II. The Phase II is the continuation of the Gusa-Igpit Section that would connect from Puerto to Gusa, serving as a diversion road between the two points bypassing the existing road which is now heavily congested.
