The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental is set to construct a rubberized track and field oval at Balingasag Central School in the Municipality of Balingasag. Governor Yevgeny Vincente “Bambi” Emano disclosed this during his recent 9th State of the Province Address (SOPA). The project is estimated to cost some Php 90 million and will be funded through the Special Education Fund of the Provincial Local School Board.
Accordingly, the project is part of the province’s Sports Development Program and will host local, regional and national sports events such as the Palarong Pambansa.
