The new 10 million liters per day (MLD) water treatment plant owned by South Balibago Resources, Inc. (SBRI) located in Bulao, Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City which was designed and built by JE Hydro & Bio Energy Corporation is now almost done. The plant is a vital component in the distribution of potable water to households in the city’s western area.
Shown below are the water treatment plant (right) and the zero effluent discharge lagoon (left).

The plant is located near Iponan River where it sources the water.

The project is now reportedly on test run.

This facility is an integral component for the water distribution in this part of the city.

It can be recalled that SBRI got the needed endorsement from the Cagayan de Oro City Council through Resolution No. 13039-2018 for the establishment of a parallel water system for the unserved or underserved areas in the first district of the city. The said resolution allows the water firm to develop sources, process, and deliver potable water to majority of the residents. https://www.bwsi.com.ph/post/sbri-gets-nod-on-parallel-system-in-cagayan-de-oro
