
Construction is now in full blast for the 4.6-hectare Socialized Housing Project Phase 2 located in Purok 2, Balubal, Cagayan de Oro City which is composed of forty (40) two-storey buildings each with 24 units. Target beneficiaries are 960 homeless families living in riverbanks, roadways, sidewalks, bridges, garbage dumps, shorelines and waterways.

According to Engr. Ermin Stan Pimentel, Head of the City Housing & Urban Development Department (CHUDD), the said units are not free but beneficiaries can pay at a much lower cost.




The project is in partnership with the Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) formerly Housing and Land Use Regulatory Board (HLURB), the Social Housing Finance Corporation including Bria Homes and Vistaland.
