The Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) will be the latest national government agency to build its regional office in El Salvador City with last Wednesday’s formal groundbreaking ceremony for its 3-storey office building to be located at the Poblacion area.
The new building will house the regional office, the provincial office for Misamis Oriental and will host as venue for technology demos, training and seminars primarily focusing on coconut technologies.

Present during the simple ceremony were OIC Regional Manager for Region 10 Manuel G. Octobre, OIC Regional Manager for Region 7 Brendan P. Trasmonte (Outgoing) and PCA staff. Gracing the event was City Mayor Hon. Edgar S. Lignes who was instrumental in the establishment of the project site.

Other government agencies which will soon relocate their regional office in the city include PDEA-10, MARINA-10, and DA-10. PAG-ASA is already operating in the city.
