The first multi-storey socialized housing project in Cagayan de Oro City broke ground yesterday, June 24, 2020. PAGATPAT VALLEY RESIDENCES located within a 6-hectare lot in Sitio Pamalihi, Barangay Pagatpat will have eight (8) 5-storey residential buildings to benefit at least 700 families affected by the Flood Risk Mitigation Project for Cagayan de Oro River (FRIMP-CDOR) or the “Mega Dike Project.”
The project is a tripartite engagement with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), National Housing Authority (NHA) and the City Government of Cagayan de Oro wherein the DPWH is tasked for land development, NHA for the construction of the housing units and the City Government for the available land.
City Mayor Oscar Moreno along with officials of DPWH-10, NHA and JICA led the ground breaking ceremony also attended by local officials, some members of the City Council and City Hall staff.
