Construction of the Punta-Macabalan Section of the Cagayan de Oro Coastal Road Project is now at 71.91% completion based on the total project cost. This four-lane road with a four-meter board walk stretches 896.24 meters with a wave deflector facing Macajalar Bay and will soon connect the CDO Port Road to the CDO River Boulevard in Brgy. Macabalan.
Rep. Rufus Rodriguez and DPWH officials recently led the ground breaking for the continuation of the said project.

Here are latest aerial progress updates (screen grabs) as of March 2020. As shown, the coastal road section has reached the tip of Brgy. Macabalan. Concreting works has not started yet but will be undertaken in the next few weeks. As planned, this connect to the ongoing River Boulevard Project from City Hall towards Macabalan.
