Construction of the proposed Cagayan de Oro Sports Training Center in Lumbia will finally start soon. This after the City Council approved P50 million as supplemental budget for 2019 for its Phase 1 development.
This was disclosed by City Councilor John Michael Seno in his capacity as chairman on committee on sports and youth development.
The Cagayan de Oro City Sports Training Center will be located in a 3-hectare lot near Lumbia Elementary School and will be a state-of-the art facility and well-equipped with facilities such as rubberized track and field oval, football, softball and baseball fields, Olympic-standard size swimming pool, lawn tennis courts, archery range, boxing gym, athletes’ quarters (dormitory), canteen and parking spaces.
