Clearly, as observed, one contributing factor in the city’s traffic woes is the absence of wide roads with the exception of CM Recto Avenue. Existing 4-lane roads are also under utilized since the 2 lanes are being used for roadside parking. And roadside parking is rampant due to lack of provision of parking setbacks of new buildings and lack of parking facilities which the city badly needs.
