The bidding documents of the P4.859 billion 3.48-kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge will soon be published. This was confirmed by Tangub City Mayor Philip Tan after his recent visit to Malacañang last June 13.

In his official Facebook page, Mayor Tan stated some updates of the bridge project which includes among others the approval of the bidding documents by the Korean Eximbank and the scheduled visit by all interested Korean contractors in July.

The bridge project will connect Tangub City in Misamis Occidental and Tubod town in Lanao del Norte and will dramatically reduce travel time between these two points from the present two-and-a-half hours to only 10 minutes. It is one of the government’s flagship infrastructure projects.

Mayor Tan was in Malacañang to witness the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and state and local universities and colleges for the free higher education law. Tangub City hosts two government colleges – Governor Alfonso D. Tan College and Northwestern Mindanao State College of Science and Technology.

Keep posted.
