Here’s the latest construction update of the 660-meter Bonbon-Macabalan Bridge, the 10th bridge to span Cagayan de Oro River.
As shown below, about 4 spans of the bridge’s girders are now in place.
These shots below are taken looking east towards the river.
Meanwhile, this one below is looking west. There’s a gap in the span as the bridge descends to its approach.
Again moving towards the river, you can notice construction of steel frames for the piers.
This is the end of the completed span near the riverbank.
That’s Macabalan on the opposite side. Accordingly, they’re targeting to clear the area by December once negotiations have been completed.
They’re now preparing for the final piers on the Bonbon side.
