MisOr Public-Private-Partnership Code gets nod

The Provincial Government of Misamis Oriental can now officially start discussions with probable investors of the capitol compound. This after the Provincial Board recently approved the Public-Private-Partnership ordinance.

In a news article by SunStar CDO, the ordinance is based on the PPP Manual for LGUs and will serve as guidance in the province’s dealing with private companies which have expressed interest of the prime properties of the capitol.

It can be recalled that Governor Yevgeny Emano disclosed three large companies – Ayala, SM and Filinvest that have submitted unsolicited proposals which include the transfer of the provincial jail to Initao as well as the capitol building to Alubijid. LINK

Provincial Board Member Gerardo Sabal said they are aiming that the project be completed before their term ends in 2019.
