Exactly one month after our previous update, the Macasandig-Balulang Bridge is now just one span away from connecting the structure across Cagayan de Oro River.
As shown below, the pier for the last girder is now being constructed.
The Balulang-Macasandig Bridge is a two lane bridge with a width of 7.32 meters carriageway and length of 240.00 meters. It is composed of 2 abutments and 5 piers and also a 1.11 meter sidewalk for the pedestrian.
This is looking at Macasandig. The bridge is shown at right.
Meanwhile, the last span is now being readied.
When completed, this will provide another alternate route for motorists traversing between the eastern and western areas of the city.
